FAQ
-
Do cats really need to be bathed?
Absolutely! Cats are naturally greasy creatures. They do lick themselves but that only deposits saliva on their skin. This deposits protein which triggers allergies in those who are hypersensitive. Regular baths help limit the excess of grease, irritating proteins, and dried saliva.
-
Don't cats hate water?
Believe it or not, most cats do quite well in the bath. Some even enjoy the warm water and massage during the shampoo scrub.
-
How do cats handle being dried?
During drying, we use a Happy Hoodie which is a soft material band we put on the head to muffle the sound of the dryer.
-
Can cats be de-shedded like dogs?
Yes, they can! Regular bathing and drying also helps maintain the fur level.
-
Does grooming help with hairballs?
Totally! Removing the excess dead fur helps prevent your cat from ingesting it and having stomach upset.
-
Why does my cat get knots & tangles?
When dead fur is shedded, it tends to stick to the natural oils cats produce. Then, as cats “groom” themselves their saliva clumps to the loose fur. Over time, these areas bunch together forming hard and uncomfortable mats.
